# Clarity Care

Care that feels like family.

Clarity Care is a Wisconsin nonprofit helping people live safely and
independently — at home, in our residential homes, and out in the
community — whatever their age, health, income, or ability.

- Serving since **1972**
- **1,500+** clients
- **21** Wisconsin counties
- **550+** team members
- Caregiver training since **1988**

## Services

- **In-Home Care** — personal care, meals, housekeeping, companionship, and
more. A few hours a week or up to 24/7.
- **Residential Living** — community-based residential homes across the
Fox Cities, including Appleton, with caring staff and support matched to
  each person.
- **Community Employment Services (CES)** — helps people with disabilities
find real work in their community, and keep it.
- **Caregiver Training** — state-approved classes through the Clarity Care
  Training Institute, including CNA certification.
- **Day Services & Respite** — day programs, youth services (CLTS), and
respite care that gives families a break.
- **Family & Friends Program** — family members and friends can become
paid caregivers for someone they already love, with training and support
  from Clarity Care.

Funding is usually easier than people expect: Clarity Care works with
IRIS, Managed Care Organizations, private pay, and other funding sources.

## How care starts

1. **Reach out** — call, text, or send the contact form. Say who needs
care and what a good week looks like for them.
2. **We talk it through** — a real conversation about needs, routines, and
   goals.
3. **Funding gets sorted** — IRIS, MCOs, private pay, or another program.
4. **Care begins** — a plan built around the person, caregivers matched to
them, support that can grow to 24/7.

## Choosing care — what we've learned

- Start with the person, not the service — the right care protects what a
  good week looks like.
- You can start small — a few hours of help, day services, or respite.
- Know the funding paths before assuming care is out of reach.
- Family can be the caregiver through the Family & Friends program.
- Ask who shows up — backup coverage matters as much as the first match.
- Visit residential homes and meet staff before deciding.
